Romans 15:13 says- "I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit."
That is exactly what my blog is all about, and to make this a little more personal, I attached a goofy little video of myself to try to make it easier to connect with readers and let you see exactly who I am. Because trust me, what you see is what you get.
To me, hope is a powerful thing that we all could use a little more of. We as people, however, tend to get caught up in society. You see, society tells us what to be, what to believe, what to look like, and how we should behave. That's not what we were created for.
We are meant to be different and to stand out! We are meant to share the unfailing love of our heavenly father. We are meant to care and make a difference when everyone else says we're wrong. I don't know about you but I prefer to do what God intended for us, though I fall short often.
The point I'm trying to make is that I want this blog to be a little source of hope. Something that you can look to in difficult times, something that could possibly brighten your day or give you a smile.
God tells us to be a light to others and to help those in need. I want to do that for you, here and now. If you ever feel alone, if you ever doubt yourself, when you need a Jesus pick me up, or if you've just seen too much bad in a too bad world, or even if you just because you want to read. I'm not going to promise to have all the answers, but I promise to listen.
I feel moved to say a little prayer right now, so since God's talking to me directly I'm going to listen.
Heavenly Father,
There are times that we feel utterly alone in this world. There are times that we feel completely lost with no hope of rescue. In a world where it is easy to fall into negative things, I ask here and now that You please guide us, Lord. Let those that feel hopeless know that they are not and You have a perfect plan just waiting for them. Let those that feel lost know that You've already saved them, You're just waiting for them to realize it. Let all of us that are blind to the love You have for us feel it more deeply than ever. No matter our situations, You are there and You never even left our sides, we just turned around.
I pray that You will bless each and every individual that has read this blog as well as those who will in the future, Lord. May this provide some sort of hope in their lives and may this touch their hearts as I so hope it does. I pray for Your love to shine down on all of these beautiful people and that You may use me and my words to help give them just a small glimpse of Your love so I may fill what I believe part of Your purpose is for me.
Thank you Lord Jesus for Your constant forgiveness, and I ask all of these things in Your Holy name.
Amen!
